OUTLOOK EXPRESS VERSION 4.01
These instructions are for Outlook Express version 4.01. Your email settings may be located elsewhere if you are using a different version of Outlook.

Getting Started
Open Outlook Express v4.01.
Click on either "Preferences" in the Icon menu OR
Click on "Edit" then "Preferences".
Select "E-mail" under "Accounts".

Accounts: E-mail
Configure your settings similar to those listed below, substituting your e-mail information and username where required.

Account Information
Full Name: Your Name
E-mail address: username@ionix.net
Organization: Ionix Internet

Sending Mail
SMTP server: smtp.ionix.net

Receiving Mail
Account ID: username
POP Server: mail.ionix.net
Select: Save password
Save password: xxxxxxxx
Account name: Ionix E-mail

If you have your own domain name, enter:

Account Information
Full Name: Your Name
E-mail address: username%domain.com@domain.com
Organization: Ionix Internet

Sending Mail
SMTP server: smtp.ionix.net

Receiving Mail
Account ID: username%domain.com
POP Server: mail.ionix.net
Select: Save password
Save password: xxxxxxxx
Account name: Ionix E-mail

Select the "Advanced..." button

Advanced button
When you click on the Advanced button in the previous screen, this screen comes up. You do not have to check any of the settings to get your mail. Checking any of them may prevent you from getting your e-mail.

Click on the "OK" button.

This completes the setup of your e-mail settings.
