ionix will no longer provide web, email, or DNS services as of December 31st, 2023. You will need to migrate your services to another provider or risk service disruption at the end of the year.

What is the deadline for moving my hosting?

Ionix will cease operations at midnight on December 31st, 2023.

Is there a cost to move my hosting?

Check with your new provider to see if they provide free or paid migration services. Many providers offer free migration to new customers.

My new provider wants access to CPanel

Ionix does not utilize CPanel, so this is not an option. Let them know they can utilize FTP to transfer files. If you don't remember your FTP username or password, contact Ionix support.

What if I have prepaid for service?

If you have prepaid for an SSL certificate or registered a domain for multiple years, your certificate or domain will be valid for the entire paid period. If transferring prepaid domain registration, be sure to check with the incoming registrar to ensure they will honor the years you have prepaid.

How do I manage my DNS Settings?

You will need to transfer your domain to a new service provider. As part of the transfer process, you will need a transfer code. Email support@ionix.net to request a transfer code for your domain. If Ionix manages your DNS, you can also request immediate DNS changes during your transition by emailing dns@ionix.net.

Will ionix maintain a backup of my information?

No. Information including site backups will not be available after December 31st, 2023.

Will my domain name be lost?

If you fail to transfer your domain by the deadline, you will still own the domain and can transfer it to a new provider. Contact support@ionix.net for your transfer code.

Will my email be lost?

It depends. If you store mail on your computer, you will still have access. However if you store mail only on the server, it will be deleted on December 31st, 2023 unless you migrate it to a new provider or download it to your computer.

What happens if I miss the deadline?

If you miss the deadline to migrate your services to a new provider, your services will stop working on December 31st. This includes any domain, email or web hosting you had with Ionix.
